Junior Development Program

In June 2019 Dan launched a new Junior Development Program at the club.

The foundation of this are the Junior Group Coaching sessions that now take place at the club every Saturday afternoon, these classes are designed to attract new juniors to the club and provide them with a pathway into the game of Golf. A typical junior session includes the following aspects:

  • Golf based skills
  • Fundamental movement skills associated to Golf
  • Knowledge of Etiquette & sportsmanship
  • Friendly, social atmosphere for children
  • Competitive fun games

The idea is that children progress through the classes over a period of time and become ready to play on the course with their fellow juniors on a regular basis. Following this the juniors will have the opportunity to obtain an official handicap and begin to partake in regular junior club competitions should they wish to do so. The Junior Development Program is open to members and non-members alike.
